Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior, engagement, and cooperation among children.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that supports early childhood development and child welfare.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and classroom events to build strong partnerships.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, attendance, incident reports, and child development progress in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or toddler care experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood education or preschool teaching are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math skills and physical activities such as teaching physical education.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while creating an inclusive classroom environment focused on child development instruction.
