Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Independent Living Support professionals to empower individuals with diverse needs to live independently and thrive in their communities. Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores to promote independence.
- Support clients with communication needs, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate effective interaction.
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, especially for those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Collect and document data related to client progress, medication administration, and behavioral changes to ensure accurate records.
- Provide transportation support by driving clients to appointments or community activities while maintaining safety protocols.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans that align with client goals.
- Assist with childcare duties when necessary, creating a nurturing environment that supports both the individual and their family.
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred.
- Background in special education, social work, behavioral health, or related fields is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform caregiving tasks such as assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and medication administration.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language or other alternative communication methods.
- Home and community care experience that highlights your ability to support clients in various settings.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record for transportation responsibilities.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
