Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Support the culinary team with basic meal prep tasks, including assembling ingredients and organizing supplies for service.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen stations, storage areas, and dishwashing stations.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs or safety concerns.
- Adhere to safety standards in production and food handling procedures to promote a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, or restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments is beneficial.
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques are advantageous for assisting with food prep tasks.
