JOB TITLE: Clinical Informatics Specialist
SHIFT: FTE 1.0 (80 hours bi-weekly) Full-Time, 1st Shift

The Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as educator and subject matter expert for specific modules in Epic and/or other clinical information systems.

Provide education and training to users of clinical information systems virtually and in person

Provides support to users of clinical information systems

Assesses workflow related processes and requirements to facilitate system enhancements and modifications

Recommends, implements, and supports approved system optimizations

Participates in process improvement initiatives to identify potential uses of the information systems and potential optimization of current use of systems
Experience
-
Previous experience for which CLINICAL INFORMATICS SPECIALIST will be training

Two years in education, healthcare, or a related field

Ability to adapt teaching style for a diverse group of learners in a structured classroom or informal one-on-one setting

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a dedication to building strong relationships

Understanding of clinical and clerical workflows, processes, and terminology as they relate to designated Epic modules and other clinical information systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Certifications Required or Preferred

Epic Credentialed Trainer within 3 months of hire
