Fabrication Mechanic (Mold Prep Trim)
Our growing Laconia, NH client is seeking a Fabrication Mechanic for their team. If you’re technically inclined, then consider this full-time opportunity!
Responsibilities of the Fabrication Mechanic (Mold Prep Trim)
- Set up and operate various equipment (e.g., abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment) to prepare assemblies and details
- Perform visual and dimensional tests to validate conformance to specifications
- Prepare surfaces for finishing
- Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls
- Use chemicals (e.g. chemlock, acetone, alcohol) to prepare parts, and cure parts in ovens
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain documentation
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications of the Fabrication Mechanic (Mold Prep Trim)
- High school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good math and computer skills
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use micrometers and vernier calipers
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing priorities
- Team player who can work well independently
