The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in consumer health, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods, or a closely related CPG category. This role requires strong market research capability, structured thinking, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to translate consumer insights, sales signals, and competitive analysis into clear product strategy and execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle from product concept, definition, development, launch, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Monitor key product performance indicators, including conversion rate, repeat purchase rate, return rate, customer feedback, and NPS, and identify opportunities for product optimization.
- Work closely with product research, formulation, supply chain, quality, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align product direction, cost targets, launch timeline, and quality requirements.
- Lead product requirement definition for internally developed products, including positioning, target users, key benefits, differentiation strategy, and commercial feasibility.
- Conduct systematic U.S. market research, including category size, growth trends, price bands, channel structure, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Identify high-potential product opportunities in categories with strong margins, repeat purchase potential, and clear differentiation space.
- Develop product selection strategy and product line roadmaps aligned with brand positioning and business goals.
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis, including formula, pricing, claims, distribution channels, content strategy, customer reviews, and market positioning.
- Define product line strategy, including hero products, supporting SKUs, and competitive response products.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative consumer research, including interviews, surveys, review analysis, social listening, and platform data analysis.
- Translate consumer language and pain points into product definition, product claims, and marketing selling points.
- Build a feedback loop from sales, channels, customer service, and marketplace performance data to support continuous product improvement.
- Track U.S. regulatory and compliance developments relevant to dietary supplements and consumer health products, including FDA and FTC-related requirements, and work with internal teams to identify potential compliance risks early.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in product planning, product development, or product management within consumer health, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods, or related CPG categories.
- Proven experience managing at least one new product development or product launch project from concept to market.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to clearly distinguish facts, interpretations, assumptions, and conclusions.
- Hands-on experience using data tools, marketplace data, survey tools, competitor research tools, or e-commerce analytics platforms.
- Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate research, supply chain, quality, marketing, sales, and external partners.
- Ability to use English as the primary working language.
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with U.S. consumer health, dietary supplement, or functional food markets.
- Familiarity with U.S. consumer behavior, mainstream retail/e-commerce channels, and marketplace rules.
- Understanding of Amazon, TikTok Shop, DTC, or other e-commerce growth and product selection logic.
- Experience converting consumer insights, reviews, and social media trends into product concepts and selling points.
- Knowledge of dietary supplement claims, labeling considerations, or basic FDA/FTC compliance expectations is a plus.
