Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technician to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency throughout every procedure. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate advanced CT imaging equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on patient needs and clinical indications.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff.
- Assist with additional medical imaging procedures such as nuclear medicine, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, sonography, X-ray, and physiology assessments when required.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures, respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies, especially in urgent care or Level I trauma center settings.
- Document all procedures accurately in medical records while following confidentiality protocols and medical terminology standards.
- Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality control checks are performed regularly to uphold imaging excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CT scanners within a healthcare setting; experience in emergency room or Level II trauma center environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with nuclear medicine techniques including PET scans and DEXA scans.
- Proficiency in performing mammography, ultrasound (sonography), X-ray imaging, and other diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- Understanding of aseptic technique principles to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic images accurately and collaborate effectively with medical teams.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) is required; additional certifications in nuclear medicine or mammography are a plus.

Pay: $49.00 - $50.50 per hour
