Job Summary
Children's Fountain of Knowledge Learning Center is looking for a reliable and organized Part-Time Daycare Cook to join our team. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and ensuring meals are prepared safely and served on time according to the center's menu.
Responsabilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the center's approved menu.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including appliances, refrigerators, dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
- Follow special dietary restrictions and food allergy requirements for individual children.
- Complete required meal count and food program documentation accurately.
- Monitor kitchen inventory and provide administration with a grocery and supply list as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, knives, and other food preparation equipment.
- Store food properly and maintain safe food temperatures.
- Work as a team with administration and classroom staff.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
- Experience in a daycare, school, or institutional kitchen is a plus.
- Food Handler Certificate preferred (or willingness to obtain one if required).
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must pass a background check
- Must be dependable with excellent attendance.
- Must enjoy working in an early childhood environment.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
