Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining agricultural chemical packaging machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and experience with industrial equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machines efficiently, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and make minor adjustments as needed
- Handle materials and finished products using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Assist with setup, calibration, and changeovers of packaging machinery for different product runs
- Document production data accurately and report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Support warehouse operations by managing inventory levels of packaging supplies and materials
- Use hand tools and machining techniques for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience operating packaging machinery within a manufacturing or food production setting
- Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, weights, and counts
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including GMP and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and safety protocol adherence
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
