Help in the kitchen with production of Aditi Chai/Ayuda en la cocina con la producción de Aditi Chai
Aditi Chai is seeking one or two Chai Brewers (Full time or Part-time 20-30 hours/week) to support production and business operations. This is a position with great growth potential and exposure to various parts of the production processes. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and flexible / problem solving attitude to help manage our customer needs. Must be a team player, good communicator, and critical creative thinker with a desire to make high-quality products with the highest standards of food safety, precision, and efficiency.
We are looking to hire someone that wants to stay for the long term and help us grow! There may be other opportunities that arise as the year progresses and the business grows.
Duties
Chai Production Specialist duties:
- Prepare fresh herbs, grind spices for production day
- Prepare, monitor, and brew chai batches
- Prepare bottles for filling and bottle brewed chai carefully.
Post-production clean up:
- Wash and dry kettles/strainer bags, all other utensils thoroughly
- Collect garbage in compost bags and dispose
- Clean kitchen surfaces and floors.
Load/Unload filled chai boxes to and from the pallet
Monitor inventory of packaging materials and ingredients/spices used to make chai
Label the chai bottles and tag boxes of chai to maintain first in first out inventory
Help with ordering/picking up ingredients and other supplies
Help to streamline production
Order fulfillment (online/wholesale)
The ideal candidate would have:
Reliable access to a vehicle (deliveries)
Good communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs
