American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Clyde, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of step-down or ICU experience and cardiac specialty background.

Located on the 4th floor of a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited Duke LifePoint hospital featuring a Chest Pain Center
-
Progressive Care Unit with a cardiac specialty focus, serving adult patients including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab, and cardioversion cases

22-bed unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36 hours/week)

Every other weekend required

No on-call requirements

Floating is required

EMR: Paragon
-
Telemetry monitoring equipment used

Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Step-down or ICU experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued certifications required)

Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum education requirement

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

13-week contract

Care for adult cardiac patients including cardiac observation, post cath lab recovery, and cardioversions

Team-oriented candidates with strong communication skills and flexibility are encouraged to apply

Navy scrubs required; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are not permitted

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
