We are looking for a positive and energetic individual to join our team! We have a relationship based (not insurance-driven) general dentistry practice looking to further incorporate a more excellent health-based model of dentistry.
You should expect to work clinically from 7:40-5:15, M,T,W and 6:45AM-3 PM on Th. We welcome experienced assistants who would like to further their knowledge and help with coordination of health and airway concerns. We are developing new airway-focused treatment options for patients (e.g. expansion/tethered oral tissue in young children to adults).
We need for you to genuinely be a self-starter and self-motivated, excited to care for people with the heart of a teacher. You will be trusted to ensure excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients & fellow staff with a smile
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Schedule appointments/ help run a productive practice
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Help patients discover their dental needs and teach/explain options
- Incorporating airway focused dental/orthodontic treatments
- Anything else that comes up
Ideal Candidate Skills (not required)
- Experience as dental assistant or orthodontic assistant
- Billengual (Spanish/English)
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- There are many chairside skills which would be helpful but which can be taught to the right person (e.g. taking dental photography, etc)
