The Industrial Machinery Mechanic plays a vital hands-on role in supporting daily manufacturing operations within our production facility. This position is responsible for adjusting and fixing machinery, operating equipment, maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, and following all safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses basic to intermediate mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Support
- Maintain and monitor can manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments as needed.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting to address equipment issues.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify defects and report quality concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and production output.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with health, safety, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Workflow & Efficiency
- Maintain steady production flow by monitoring materials and machine performance.
- Identify minor inefficiencies and communicate suggestions for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and waste.
Maintenance Support
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
- Assist maintenance personnel during repairs when needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with supervisors, leads, and fellow technicians.
- Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, or production concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate production logs and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Mechanical Skills: Average mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic hand tools and perform minor equipment adjustments.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of production machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action within scope of responsibility.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Organization: Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and work in an industrial environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
