Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Provide menus and explain daily specials to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist with guest inquiries, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions about the menu or restaurant services.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations throughout the dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous Host/Host experience preferred; food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in hotel or guest services is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for hospitality and serving others.
