Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of vehicles including tankers, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various types of trucks including tractor-trailers and tankers.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and vehicle maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety and compliance during transportation.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating tankers, refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
- Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently through various terrains.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of driving and cargo handling.
