Position: Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
Location: Kissimmee, FL
Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries
- Participate in emergency general surgery call rotation
- Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity situations
- Collaborate with specialists in critical care, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine
- Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and registry activities
- Contribute to resident and medical student education (if academic center)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery preferred
- Current Florida medical license
- ATLS certification (Instructor certification preferred)
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience
- Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification processes, and quality improvement practices

Work Schedule
- Rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Shared trauma call coverage
