Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Location: William Land Golf Course
Rate of Pay: $16.90 hr. + Tips
FLSA Status: hourly, non-exempt, part-time
Position Overview
Morton Golf is looking for a Cook/Cashier who will play an essential role at our restaurant by skillfully preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items to our guests. This dual role encompasses cooking, taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Your expertise in cooking and food preparation will play a crucial role in enhancing our service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take orders accurately and communicate with kitchen staff effectively.
- Cook and manage food orders, setting the pace for service delivery.
- Create delicious and visually appealing dishes, adhering to health standards.
- Process payments and handle cash & credit transactions with accuracy.
- Follow all sanitation and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and cashier areas.
- Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment and report any issues to managers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cooking experience required.
- Minimum 1 year cash handling experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Must have a valid food handler's certificate or be willing to obtain one upon hire.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
