Header: Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety through vigilant child supervision and behavior management.
- Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, sports, theater, outdoor games, and educational projects that promote growth and teamwork.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and team members to communicate children's progress and address any behavioral or developmental issues.
- Lead outdoor work activities safely, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines such as AED operation and first aid procedures.
Header: Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills coupled with knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are required; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or sports coaching enhances your ability to engage children effectively.
- Background in special education or working with students with diverse needs is advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead team efforts in outdoor environments or during camp experiences demonstrates adaptability and leadership qualities.
- Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to Christian counseling or behavioral guidance are valued assets.
