Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will oversee and coordinate immigration-related cases, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications, petitions, and legal documentation. Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of immigration cases, including visa applications, green cards, family petitions, renewals (USCIS)
- Prepare, review, and draft legal documents, petitions, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation through interviews and follow-up communications
- Maintain accurate case files within document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards
- Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy development and administrative support tasks
- Monitor case progress through legal case management software, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed of updates
- Conduct thorough document review for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal requirements
- Support the team with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and phone etiquette
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience within a law office setting
- Strong knowledge of immigration law along with familiarity in related areas such as family law, employment law, or tribal law & regulations is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus
- Skilled in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and contracts review
- Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews effectively while maintaining professionalism and empathy
- Experience with project management practices to coordinate tasks across teams effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in all work products
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a fast-paced legal environment
