The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist QMHP BH Bilingual who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.
The bilingual Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of case management and counseling services to clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness and translate into Spanish when needed.
Therapist QMHP are expected to work with a team of behavioral health service providers within the agency to ensure a positive client centered approach.
The Bilingual Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing individual treatment plans utilizing the IM+CANS to maximize the clients’ independent community living skills.
The Bilingual Therapist must complete documentation of mental health services provided in accordance with state and agency standards as applicable.
The Bilingual Therapist is expected to promote client wellness through coaching, counseling, consultation, motivational enhancement, and information and referral services to clients facing various health challenges, as needed.
This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.
Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours
Provide effective individual, couples, & family counseling, as assigned
Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
Refer clients for community-based case management services as needed
Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
Meet minimum service hours provision/billing standards.
Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
Complete treatment plan development meetings with clients.
Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
Maintain a positive professional working relationship with agencies and other stakeholders
Maintain a positive professional working relationship with coworkers
Provide documentation to primary staff to assist client in maintaining public entitlements as applicable.
Assist clients in obtaining/maintaining public entitlements
Participate in agency committees as assigned
Provide counseling/therapy services to clients who prefer to engage in services in their home, community, or office setting.
