Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with a minimum of 2 years setup experience to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts for the medical and finance industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes or CNC Mills
- Read and interpret technical drawings and part specifications
- Load tools, set offsets, and adjust machine settings for each job
- Perform first-piece inspection prior to production
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot setup or tooling issues to maintain quality and productivity
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform daily machine maintenance per instructions
- Collaborate with other machinists, supervisors, engineering, and inspection
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on CNC setup experience
- Familiarity with G-code, machine controls, and basic program editing
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, neat and reliable
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus
