Overview:
The DoubleTree Gaithersburg is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various technical areas such as HVAC, hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize maintenance processes
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime
-Keep an open line of communication with other team members and staff
-Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations
-Manage the hotel's machinery and preventive maintenance procedures
-Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks
-Respond to emergencies that occur outside of regular working hours
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in HVAC systems and industrial maintenance practices
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and logic controllers
- Experience with hydraulics and interpreting schematics
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Prior experience in technical sales is a plus
-This position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience is required for this role
-Driver’s license and outstanding driving record are necessary
-Ability to use web-based software, including facilities maintenance software preferred
-This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED
-Previous Hotel Maintenance experience is a plus
