Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a School Day Porter with EMS! This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for custodial duties, facilities maintenance, and ensuring emergency readiness to support the smooth operation of our school. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive learning environment while promoting safety and cleanliness throughout the school day.
Monday - Friday / 7am-3pm / $15.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct janitorial and custodial tasks such as floor care, buffing, and commercial cleaning to maintain a pristine facility.
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities, including minor repairs and troubleshooting to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support industrial cleaning tasks when needed, including deep cleaning of high-traffic areas or specialized spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces to promote a healthy environment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during cleaning and maintenance activities, supporting overall school safety initiatives.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within educational or commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in completing tasks thoroughly.
