Aboutthe Role:
Asa CBRE Laboratory Instrument Services Technician, you will calibrate, maintain,and complete the minor repairs of scientific instrumentation.
Thisjob is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They areresponsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
Thisposition requires 25% local travel in the Boston, MA area.
WhatYou’ll Do:
Takeapart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of equipment,systems, and controls.
Operatetest equipment. This includes multimeters and galvanometers.
Coordinatethe removal of equipment needing basic repairs during scheduled maintenanceperiods.
Recordand report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment.
Responsiblefor locating part sources and estimating costs.
Documentdaily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other workperformed.
Coordinatewith external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements.
Assistwith the development of equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
Useexisting procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limitedopportunity to exercise discretion.
Impactthrough clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
Deliverown output by following defined procedures and processes under closesupervision and guidance.
WhatYou’ll Need:
HighSchool Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-relatedexperience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and educationwill be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification whererequired by law.
Meetthe physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.or more.
Abilityto follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communicationskills to exchange straightforward information.
Workingknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
Strongorganizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Basicmath skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages,discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the LIS Technician is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the LIS Technician position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
