Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, or mobile payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols during food handling, preparation, and serving to ensure quality and compliance
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing accuracy or quality
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience required
- Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of the dial-in process for espresso beans
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic coffee drinks and how to assemble them
