Day Shift Home Care Nurse for our 3yr old son | Trach & Vent Dependent w/ G-Tube
Location: La Jolla, San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: Competitive Salary , 5 minutes from La Jolla beaches
Main shifts: Friday thru Sunday 8am-8pm or Saturday thru Monday 8am-8pm + PRN shifts as needed
Overview:
We are offering a day nursing position to care for our 3 year old son with critical complex special medical needs. Our family is ready to work with you to ensure you feel supported, trained, and confident in providing Elliot’s care. This role is perfect for a compassionate nurse looking for a meaningful, family-based setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nightly respiratory support, including tracheotomy care and ventilator monitoring, with guidance and training as needed.
- Administer feedings through his G tube, monitoring for comfort and tolerance.
- Monitor vital signs, being attentive to respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Assist with medications and PRN needs
- Manage overnight tasks including sterilizing, sanitizing and stocking supplies.
- Engage Elliot in gentle play activities to support his development.
Requirements:
- Current RN license
- Comfortable with tracheostomy and ventilator care, or willing to learn.
- Pediatric or home care experience is a plus, but we welcome new graduates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Compassionate, dependable, and collaborative.
