Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Team Member to join our crew at our busy daycare, boarding and training facility. We have both AM and PM shifts available. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to the dogs in our facility. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with a passion for animal care and customer service.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a seasonal/Summer job. We are looking for a year round commitment. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to year round. We are looking for 20-25 hours a week MINIMUM. Full time is available as well.
Duties:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in the daycare facility with active engagement and company led positive training objectives & activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care
- Assist with feeding, handling, and administering medications as needed
- Engage in playtime activities with the dogs, including positive training and interactive play sessions
- Clean and maintain the daycare facility, including sanitizing kennels and common areas
- Collaborate with the daycare team to ensure a positive and enriching environment for all dogs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals, such as kennel work, veterinary assistant, or pet grooming preferred.
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, levels of human comfort and play styles
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
- Ability to work well in a team environment - great communication is a must.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
