Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to assist in driving process improvement, efficiency, and standardization across fabrication, welding, and assembly operations. This role is critical in establishing discipline around documentation, routing, and operational workflows, while serving as a true owner of continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Objective
- Assist in improving operational efficiency and process flow across manufacturing
- Assist in establishing standardized routing, time studies, and documentation practices
- Reduce waste and drive measurable performance improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and develop standardized routings (currently informal/inconsistent)
- Identify and eliminate operational waste, including:
- Material handling inefficiencies
- Excess movement and time spent searching for parts
- Gaps in process flow and workflow execution
- Drive process improvement initiatives across fabrication, weld, and assembly
- Improve and enforce engineering documentation standards and follow-through
- Support product and material flow optimization across the shop floor
- Partner closely with operations and leadership to implement and sustain improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and process improvement
- Strong background in:
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Time studies, routing development, and process standardizationFishers, Indiana
- Practical application of CI tools (A3 thinking, waste reduction, etc.) Fishers, Indiana
- CAD exposure required:
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
