Position Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) Lead is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and managing training programs that support organizational goals, workforce competency, and regulatory compliance within the energy industry. This role combines instructional design, project management, and training delivery. The L&D Lead ensures training projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality learning experiences through instructor-led training, eLearning, and multimedia content development.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development Leadership (25%)
Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs and learning initiatives.
Conduct training needs analyses to identify knowledge and skill gaps across the organization.
Partner with operational leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to develop effective learning solutions.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, metrics, feedback, and performance data.
Maintain training records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Project Management (25%)
Manage multiple training and development projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
Track project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure project success.
Prepare and present project status updates, reports, and recommendations to leadership.
Instructional Design & Content Development (40%)
Design, develop, and maintain eLearning courses, training curricula, and blended learning solutions.
Create and update professional PowerPoint presentations, participant guides, job aids, and other learning materials.
Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to create engaging and effective training.
Ensure all training materials reflect current operational procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training platforms.
Training Delivery (10%)
Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and virtual learning events.
Deliver technical, operational, compliance, and safety-related training for employees and contractors.
Adapt instructional methods to accommodate various learning styles and audiences.
Serve as a subject matter resource for learning and development best practices.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Business, Human Resources, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of industry experience and technical training experience will be considered.
Relevant industry certifications, OSHA credentials, instructional certifications, or utility/natural gas training experience are strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
