Hackensack Meridian Health is currently seeking a Network Telehealth Remote Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Behavioral Health team. In this unique role, you will enjoy a highly desirable 90% Clinical and 10% Administrative/Academic split. You will provide critical telepsychiatry services across our network while shaping the next generation of medical professionals as a faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC).
Clinical Responsibilities :

Direct Patient Care: Provide top-tier Emergency Department (ED), Consultation-Liaison (C/L), and inpatient Telepsychiatry services.

Rapid Response: Ensure timely psychiatric interventions by returning 90% of calls from the Emergency Room within fifteen (15) minutes.

Collaborative Care: Serve as the collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), executing collaboration agreements and providing ongoing support.

Network Coverage: Provide additional psychiatric services as directed by leadership to ensure seamless patient care and participate in the department's on-call schedule.

Compliance: Adhere to all consultation requirements as stipulated in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
Academic & Administrative Responsibilities :

Teach & Mentor: Supervise and educate psychiatric residents, fellows, and medical students utilizing remote applications (Zoom, Google Meet).

Faculty Engagement: Actively participate in administrative meetings as a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at JSUMC.

Quality Improvement: Play a vital role in our quality improvement programs by helping develop measurable performance criteria, reviewing outcomes, and implementing care improvement processes.

Leadership: Serve on vital committees and task forces as needed, working to foster the mission, vision, and values of HMH.
Candidate Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

Eligible for medical licensure in the required state(s).

Comfortable and proficient with telehealth platforms and remote communication tools.

A passion for teaching and a commitment to high-quality, fast-paced clinical care.

Starting Minimum Rate: HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
