Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced <PERSON>,<PERSON> to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient handling, loading, and unloading of materials, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining smooth warehouse workflows. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and materials handling will be vital in supporting our distribution processes. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load and unload shipments efficiently
- Perform order picking using <PERSON> pickers and ensure accurate selection for shipping orders
- Manage shipping and receiving activities with precision, verifying shipments against documentation
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards and mechanical knowledge requirements
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Handle materials with care, including stacking pallets and organizing stock in designated areas
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining safety protocols, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations
Experience
- Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving procedures
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management roles preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control
- Construction or materials handling background is a plus but not required
- Valid certifications for forklift operation, crane operation, OSHA safety standards, and heavy equipment handling are preferred
