BUILDING ENGINEER

Hourly: $22.00 - $26.00
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the day to day maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance programs for a portfolio of buildings. This position is responsible for areas pertaining to real estate properties, installed equipment, construction support, preventive maintenance and repairs. Accountable for ensuring that the portfolio is well maintained and provides tenants a comfortable and safe environment. This includes but is not limited to developing preventative maintenance goals and objectives, oversight of contracts for services & maintenance, authorizing requests for maintenance. A solid customer service philosophy towards our tenants is paramount.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (IN NO ORDER OF PRIORITY)
1. Develop and ensure completion of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and roof preventative maintenance and repairs.
2. Ensure timely response to and completion of tenant work orders and complaints including electrical lighting maintenance, maintenance and repair of locks.
3. Coordinate proper inspections and tests of fire protection system and equipment.
4. Coordinate other general labor tasks and other duties as needed
5. Ensure you are always working smart and safe giving special attention to safety regulations.
6. Must be able to work in high and tight locations.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
8. Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times
9. Maintain professional appearance at all times.
10. Report problems or discrepancies to supervisor
11. Comply with company policies and procedures.
12. Be available and on call 24/7 for emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver’s License and Good Driving Record
Reliable Transportation - Must be willing to drive between multiple locations
HVAC and/or Boiler Certification preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook as well as various Building Automation Systems
EDUCATION / TRAINING
Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE
2 - 5 years of previous experience and/or training in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
