We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Dog Groomer to join our dynamic pet care team! Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions
- Assess each pet’s coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent working order
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or concerns related to their pets’ health or behavior
- Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting when needed to support overall animal care operations
- Support team members with kennel duties or heavy lifting tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques
- Knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming best practices
- Background in veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable for understanding pet health indicators
- Familiarity with animal care procedures including pet sitting, kennel experience, and heavy lifting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Prior experience working with animals such as horses (equine experience) or other pets is a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
