Job Summary
We are seeking vigilant and proactive Security Guards to uphold safety and security across our venues. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring the property, managing access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your keen eye for detail, combined with your ability to respond swiftly to incidents, will help maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Due to the nature of security work, most of these shifts will be Thursday- Sunday. We are always hiring for Bar venue locations and provide opportunities for advancement based on performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activities across the premises and detect suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Control access points by verifying the identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones, to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies using conflict management skills and first aid or CPR training when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, visitor entries/exits, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during critical situations to facilitate swift resolution.
- Implement loss-prevention strategies by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action in accordance with company protocols.
- Work in different atmospheres on different days of the week if need be.
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Training or certification in first aid (We can provide), CPR, and conflict management enhances effectiveness on the job.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems is essential for effective monitoring. We can teach you how to do this if the training is needed.
- A military or security service background provides valuable skills applicable to this position.
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while maintaining close attention to detail. Our company prides itself on de-escalation tactics. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
