Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to the dining area, adhering to food safety standards and safe lifting practices.
- Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure dishes meet presentation standards before serving.
- Serve as a communication bridge between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely delivery of orders.
- Buss tables and clear dishes efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Support kitchen operations by performing heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or equipment while following safe handling protocols.
- Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest transactions when needed.
- Maintain excellent guest services by providing friendly assistance, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety procedures, and safe lifting practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Familiarity with serving, bussing, and basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Prior banquet or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
