Job Overview:
Our client, a major entertainment company, is seeking an experienced Event Security Manager to support security planning and operations for live events, productions, talent-driven experiences, and other high-profile initiatives.
This is not a traditional guard, venue security, or asset protection role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in security, risk, protection, intelligence, investigations, or event security, along with strong relationship-building skills.
The role requires someone who can assess risk, develop security plans, coordinate stakeholders and vendors, support live operations, manage incidents, and communicate results to leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute security plans for live events, productions, and talent-driven experiences.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation and response strategies.
- Support on-the-ground operations and manage security incidents as needed.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, security vendors, law enforcement, and emergency response partners.
- Coordinate security logistics, staffing, vendors, and operational requirements.
- Partner with intelligence and security teams to evaluate risks and develop appropriate plans.
- Support security processes, controls, reporting, and operational standards.
- Document outcomes and communicate results and recommendations to leadership.
- Support regional productions and live projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in security, protection, risk management, intelligence, investigations, emergency management, event security, or a related field.
- Experience supporting live events, productions, sports, entertainment, talent, executive protection, or other complex environments.
- Strong background in risk assessment, mitigation planning, incident response, and security operations.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience working with security vendors, law enforcement, or emergency response partners is preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership from planning through execution and reporting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide recommendations and feedback professionally.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-changing or ambiguous situations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting live sports, large-scale events, entertainment productions, or talent-driven experiences.
- Background in executive protection, intelligence, investigations, or strategic security planning.
- Experience developing security strategies and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Exposure to security governance, compliance, controls, or operational reporting.
