The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing, designing, and launching new products from concept through production. This role involves creating innovative mechanical solutions, generating detailed engineering drawings, supporting prototype builds, collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams, and driving projects to meet quality, cost, timing, and performance objectives.

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using 2D and 3D CAD software.

Create and release engineering drawings, specifications, and product documentation.

Conduct engineering analyses including tolerance studies, FEA, gear calculations, spring calculations, and design validation activities.

Support prototype development, testing, assembly evaluations, and product validation efforts.

Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Lead design reviews and implement corrective actions based on test results, quality findings, and manufacturing feedback.

Apply Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), root cause analysis, and other engineering problem-solving methodologies.

Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Support cost reduction, value engineering, and product improvement initiatives.

Manage project timing, deliverables, and technical milestones.

Participate in supplier selection, technical discussions, and component evaluations.

Support resolution of customer and field quality issues and implement corrective measures.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

5+ years of mechanical product design experience.

Experience with 3D CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar).

Experience creating engineering drawings and GD&T.

Knowledge of DFMEA, FMEA, root cause analysis, and product development processes.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly methods.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in automotive, powersports, power products, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, consumer products, or industrial machinery.

Experience with FEA analysis.

Knowledge of cost estimation, supplier management, and product validation testing.

Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and quality management systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $81200.00 - $101500.00/yr.
