Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders efficiently and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions using systems such as Toast POS accurately and efficiently
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations and promoting a safe environment
- Restock bar supplies regularly, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure seamless service throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to support catering events, banquets, or nightclubs as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast for efficient sales processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in food service environments
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for sales transactions, and tip calculations
- Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices in beverage preparation, brewing techniques, and serving etiquette
