Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and dining spaces to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Perform floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet extraction to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels according to hotel protocols
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and guest safety
- Follow established cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and environmentally friendly products
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain operational readiness
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or similar hospitality environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning methods
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving furniture or supplies
- Familiarity with janitorial equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is advantageous
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required
