Position Overview:
A & S Paving, Inc. is family owned and operated paving and storm drain company in Lithonia. We are currently hiring experienced Storm Drain Crew Members to join our team. We are looking for motivated individuals with hands-on experience in storm drain installation and drainage systems who can work safely and efficiently on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install storm drain pipe, catch basins, manholes, and related drainage structures
- Assist with trenching, grading, bedding, and backfilling operations
- Work alongside equipment operators during excavation and pipe placement
- Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience on storm drain or underground utility crews
- Knowledge of pipe installation, trench safety, and grading practices
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments
- Physically able to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Must pass a drug test
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with concrete structures, trench boxes, and storm drain pipe
- Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes
- OSHA certification or other safety training
