Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking to hire a part-time Middle School Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The suitable candidate will have an understanding that teaching at Sacred Heart Catholic school is a position of service to the mission of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Portland. Our mission is to partner with parents to nurture students’ personal faith relationship with Christ and inspire students to pursue academic excellence.
The responsibilities of this position include: Two sections of 5th grade Language Arts & one section of 6th Grade Language Arts. The hours for this position are from 8:00 am to 11:30 am M-F.
The teacher will need to have a strong Christian faith, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging lessons that explore students’ inquisitive nature. Flexibility, collaboration, and a compassionate heart that seeks to understand and lift others up is a must.
