Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cashing out customers, managing cash handling duties with integrity and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and serving counters
- Assist in food handling and food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee preparation is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food industry roles is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
