Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Foreman with expertise in carpentry and construction management to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. This energetic leader will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise skilled workers, ensure safety compliance, and deliver quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction site management, blueprint reading, and project scheduling, with a passion for driving projects forward with enthusiasm and precision.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards of quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software to meet deadlines.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and coordinate procurement of materials using HeavyBid or similar estimating tools.
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop contracts, review change orders, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software for documentation, communication, and quality control.
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and schematics.
- Conduct quality control inspections using tools like ohmmeters to verify electrical systems meet specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of daily progress, safety incidents, material usage, and inspection reports.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site management with proven supervising capabilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating processes.
- Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety.
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as ohmmeters for quality assurance purposes.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safe work environment.
- Hands-on experience working on heavy civil projects such as pipelines or infrastructure development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
