Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender / barbackto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all guests.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly and attentive service while taking drink orders.
- Operate Square POS for order entry and payment processing.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly, adhering to all legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Assist with cleaning restrooms, tables, and all bar areas on a daily basis
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of bar items when applicable.
- Uphold food safety standards and practices in accordance with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Skills
- Proficiency in Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Previous fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques is beneficial for crafting specialty drinks.
