Sterling Limousine & Transportation Services is seeking an experienced Passenger Transportation Dispatcher to join our Dispatch Operations Team.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on operations role supporting luxury transportation, airport transfers, corporate travel, shuttle work, group transportation, buses, and chauffeur-driven service. The right candidate must be able to think ahead, communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and manage multiple trips, chauffeurs, vehicles, and schedule changes in real time.
This is not an entry-level dispatcher position. Prior dispatch experience in passenger transportation, livery, bus, charter, shuttle, or a similar transportation environment is required.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Available shifts:
- 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Applicants should indicate their preferred shift when applying. Weekend availability is required, as Sunday is part of the regular schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch and coordinate chauffeurs, vehicles, and trips throughout the day
- Monitor active trips to ensure on-time performance and service recovery
- Communicate professionally with chauffeurs, clients, managers, and internal departments
- Anticipate and resolve routing, traffic, timing, staffing, and logistical issues
- Update trip notes, dispatch systems, GPS platforms, and internal communication tools accurately
- Support a high-volume operation where details, timing, and communication matter
- Help maintain Sterling’s standard for dependable, professional client service
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of dispatch experience in passenger transportation, limo, bus, charter, shuttle, or similar transportation operations
- Strong geographic knowledge of PA, NJ, DE, NY, major airports, and regional traffic patterns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Professional phone and written communication skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems at the same time
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 Suite
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Weekend availability required
Preferred Experience
- Experience with luxury ground transportation, motorcoach, school/charter bus, shuttle, airport, or black-car dispatch
- Familiarity with GPS/telematics platforms, dispatch software, and transportation management systems
- Experience handling service recovery, driver call-outs, traffic delays, and last-minute client changes
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
