About Goldfish Swim School:
Goldfish Swim School has been an industry leader in the swim lesson community since 2006. Our Yorktown Heights team is growing, and we are looking for team players who are enthusiastic, have a can-do perspective, and enjoy working with kids. Role: Swim Instructor
Summary: Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
- Inspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues
- Evaluates students’ progress each week
- Advances through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents; rescues and administers first aid when necessary
- Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members
- Weekday morning availability a BIG plus!
Role: Lifeguard
Summary: Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of Goldfish Swim School by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency
- Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.
- Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
- Assists with cleaning/maintenance as necessary during the shift
- Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members.
Job Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work with children
- Lifeguard Certification
- Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)

Goldfish Swim School - Yorktown Heights (Whager One LLC) is a learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years.
