Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
Provides post-operative care for the complex surgical population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses and intervenes appropriately to ensure positive outcomes during the post-operative phase.
- Monitors and cares for newly tracheostomies.
- Assesses and maintains wounds that require a wound vac and other complex wound management
- Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams.
- Assesses, manages and educates patient and families on new ostomies.
Requirements:
- RN license in state of assignment.
- BLS (AHA) required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.
- Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
Work Environment & Demands:
- Hospital settings (post-op recovery, step-down).
- Rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays.
- Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
