Position Summary
The Recruitment Compliance Specialist ensures that all hiring, onboarding, and employment eligibility processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This role maintains audit-ready documentation, oversees I-9/E-Verify accuracy, enforces rehire eligibility rules, and supports HR and Talent Acquisition teams in executing compliant hiring practices across multiple facilities.
This position also includes hands-on recruiting responsibilities for assigned plants to ensure staffing continuity, candidate readiness, and alignment with operational needs. Because our manufacturing operations run around the clock, after-hours recruiting support is a mandatory requirement of this position to meet operational staffing needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Employment Eligibility & Documentation

Complete, audit, and maintain I-9 forms within required timelines, including reverifications and corrections.

Process and monitor E-Verify cases, resolve TNCs, and maintain compliance logs.

Validate candidate identification, certifications, licenses, and work authorization.

Maintain secure digital and physical storage of employment eligibility documents according to retention requirements.

Ensure onboarding packets and personnel files are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Recruitment Compliance Oversight

Review job postings for compliance with EEOC, ADA, FLSA, OFCCP, and pay transparency laws.

Ensure hiring workflows follow federal and state regulations, including FCRA requirements for background checks.

Monitor and enforce rehire eligibility rules, documenting approvals and exceptions.

Support multi-state onboarding compliance, including state-specific notices and required forms.

Assist with internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections.
Hands-On Recruiting for Assigned Plants

Conduct full-cycle recruiting for designated facilities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.

Maintain candidate pipelines to support staffing continuity and reduce turnover risk.

Partner with plant leadership to understand staffing needs and adjust recruiting strategies accordingly.

Support hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives.

Ensure candidates are fully prepared for onboarding and first-day readiness.
Training & Policy Support

Train recruiters, hiring managers, and HR staff on compliant hiring practices and documentation standards.

Maintain and update recruitment compliance SOPs, checklists, and workflows.

Provide guidance on sensitive hiring situations (name discrepancies, expired documents, work authorization changes).
Systems & Reporting

Maintain compliance workflows within ATS/HRIS systems.

Ensure accurate candidate status updates, documentation uploads, and compliance tracking.

Generate compliance reports for the Recruitment Compliance Manager and HR leadership.

Track key compliance metrics such as I-9 timeliness, E-Verify completion, and background check exceptions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

2–4 years of experience in recruitment operations, HR compliance, or talent acquisition.

Experience with I-9/E-Verify and multi-state hiring strongly preferred.

Manufacturing or high-volume hiring environment experience is a plus.
