About the Opportunity:
The Washington County Sheriff's Office Business Administration Division is looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant II to join our administrative team. The Accounting Assistant II primarily supports processing personnel actions, timekeeping, payroll processing, and payables. In this position, you will directly support more than 600 employees as a subject matter expert in personnel actions related to employees’ questions and in training of new hires. You will coordinate directly with County Finance and Human Resources Departments to ensure correct and timely submission of personnel actions. As part of a small administrative team, you will process invoices for payment and perform other administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) is a full-service law enforcement agency located in Hillsboro, Oregon, serving the county's urban and rural residents. WCSO enhances public safety by fostering professionalism, compassion, and trust within its team and the communities it serves. WCSO is the primary first responder for unincorporated residents, offering services from routine patrol and crime investigation to specialized teams. The WCSO also operates the county’s only jail and provides contract services to cities within the county.
The Business Administrative Division is responsible for budget planning and execution, payroll, contracts, grants, quartermaster, and various other administrative functions within the Sheriff's Office.
