Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Location: Monterey, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a Skilled Nursing Facility assignment. Candidates with SNF experience and NetHealth/Rehab Optima knowledge are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to patients
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Utilize NetHealth/Rehab Optima EMR system for charting and treatment updates
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy exercises and rehabilitation goals
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and therapy protocols
Requirements:
- Active California PTA license required
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
- Experience with NetHealth/Rehab Optima strongly preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills required
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
